Who we are
Purofirst Oakland East Bay is an independently owned and operated Single Source Provider® of property loss emergency services, restoration, and reconstruction. We specialize in fire, smoke, water damage, mold abatement as well as other casualty damage. We are a state licensed general contractor firm since 1983 and certified by Restoration Consultants, the industry leader  in air-quality control, and the Institute of Inspection, cleaning and Restoration, the recognized certification body in restoration technology.



Purofirst Oakland East Bay is an independent franchise owned by Eduardo P. Garcia and Rosa Maria Rivera, life long residents of Oakland, and licensed contractors since 1983 as Convista & Purofirst Oakland East Bay.  Our Oakland office is a member of Purosytems Incorporated and is certified by the Institute of Inspection, cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) in water damage and deodorization. We specialize in property casualty insurance claims, fire, water, wind, vandalism, odor and mold damage, from emergency service through full claim processing.

Because Purofirst is a nationally recognized restoration expert utilizing industry-wide software, claims are processed expeditiously.

We pride ourselves in personalized service with strict attention to detail and communication. While our goal is 100% customer satisfaction, if a problem nevertheless occurs, we'll make every effort to resolve it to the benefit of our clients.

In typical fire or water damage claims, Purofirst will mitigate the immediate hazard, including board up, clean up, demolition, and deodorization.

Our estimators will then itemize damage, and confer with both adjusters and clients to ensure a comprehensive settlement.  Approved estimates are forwarded in a timely manner, expediting work commencement and completion, as it is our strict cost policy to not exceed the settled price nor allow administrative delays.

Ed Garcia, estimator and project manager, is personally certified by IICRC, founder of his local Oakland Bret Harte Merchant's Association, member of the Oakland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau and past executive member of Purosytems' National Advisory Council in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.



Special Qualifications


Training:

Noted certification with the Institute of Inspection, cleaning and Restoration (IICRC) is one assurance Purofirst maintains state of the art technology, and is a knowledgeable restoration resource. Not only are IICRC guidelines accepted as the industry standard but Purosystems' own research and development continue to pursue cutting edge technology.

Mold decontamination is of particular concern with water damage mitigation. Much has surfaced in recent years in television exposés on the dangers of toxic mold. Purofirst recognizes the critical necessity abatement protocol, strictly adhering to IICRC S520 guidelines.

Remodeling:

Our contracting experience has traditionally focused on renovations in commercial and residential construction, from homes and offices to restaurants, schools and clinics, primarily within the East Bay corridor, between Crockett in the north and Fremont in the south bay.  

As our dominant experience is residential in the greater Oakland Metropolitan area, special care is taken to restore buildings to original (or pre-loss) condition, with strict attention to architectural detail particular to the period, be it Victorian or post World War II.
